Fresh Blogs
It really was too obfuscious, wasn't it. Never mind.
I need to share this pile of fresh blogs with you. Many of them seem to be discussing films, and I guess that's because the nights are drawing in and what's nicer to do in the evening than make a duvet-nest on the sofa and watch DVDs?
Flashblog victim, Viper Squad Ten, I think is a two-person blog featuring the frustration of not having seen the new Matrix film yet [I can recommend Londonmark as a tasty alternative]. And then there's parallax view, a diehard Graybo fan [and who wouldn't be?], who has just watched the splendid Nick Cage film Adaptation. Eclecticism features Finding Nemo. I'm not linking these films, you can go to the blogs themselves for links, or that ol' IMDB. Greenhamster mentions the LOTR exhibition. Is that a bit too tenuous? Rooster Spice also mentions Finding Nemo, and is a blog that I read regularly before his year-long hiatus. I'm pleased to see him back. On the other hand, Mo Morgan's is not a blog that I read regularly before his year-long hiatus, although some of you may remember him from such blogmeet faux-pas as hi, I read your blog.
There are not so many films here at Blaugustine. But there are pictures.
Call Centre Confidential was always funny. I stopped reading it for a while, but it's back on the list, definitely... And Expecting To Fly attracted my attention because it's written by a bassist called Pete.
No films at Arpeggio, but Adam did leave a couple of helpful Oxford suggestions yesterday, so he can have a link. Also I like his site, it's very friendly.
Nothing on movies in the Aquarium, but useful tips on etiquette for the male artists' model. Should you need that sort of thing.
Susan was one of the newcomers who bravely left a post last week when we had random guestblogger wednesday. I like her blog because it is absolutely brand spanking new.
Can't remember what made me start reading Light from an empty fridge. Usually when I say that, someone reminds me. Answers on a postcard, please. I can remember how I found Rainbow Villa, though: TD Guest Week, of course. That was how I originally found Acerbia, too, so it's a good credential.
This Just In is on the list. It amuses.
Ulterior may have added itself to the list via Mr Sevitz.
That's yer lot.
Ohhh no. New Blogs. And they're good. And... there aren't enough hours in the day!!!
Gordon · November 06, 2003 18:09In fact, how about a nice list so I can just cut-n-paste em to my own little 'auditioning' hideaway? Go on... go on go on go on go on...
Gordon · November 06, 2003 18:18I'll stop now and let someone else comment.
Gordon · November 06, 2003 18:18Hey - thanks for the linkage! I appreciate it :)
Raina Knight · November 06, 2003 20:51Same here! Thanking you!
John · November 06, 2003 21:19Crawls back, deep in his niche at the thought of milions of blogs around the world, let alone people having the time to track and read them... Something that somehow never crossed his little mind. Anyone who'd like some 'down-dating'? :)
Gek · November 06, 2003 21:28There are too many good blogs in the world and not enough time to keep up with them. That's why my blogroll is an ever changing creature. Thanks for a new crop for me to check out.
Lori · November 06, 2003 22:04Karen said obfuscious. Hur hur hur hur.
Er, sorry. Where was I?
In a rare bit of film-related bloggery, I've just mentioned Quentin Tarantino (although not positively). That's very gratuitous of me, isn't it?
Vaughan · November 06, 2003 22:16Everyone is a fan of me. Fact.
Since I won't get a chance to post again before tomorrow, and as I am currently in a very dodgy hotel in Amsterdam, can I propose a continental theme for the Friday cocktails?
I'd like anything with clogs on please. Perhaps, if anyone still has some, a can of Oranjeboom (spelling?), which was advertised with that great strapline "It's a lager, not a song".
I'll bring siroopwafelen.
Graybo · November 06, 2003 22:32Aw, gee whiz, this GBA Yank is touched.
Squelch · November 07, 2003 00:06Hey, you're too kind. I've just about got over the thrill of being flashblogged, though one of my two sub-editors (there are 3 of us) wasn't so impressed. I think the other's been lost into the seedy world of Jane's Addiction flashmobbing...
Got round to seeing Revolutions in the end. Too gobsmacked to write about it yet.
