The Art of Tea

Office life in early 21st century England requires that lunch be as ghastly as possible, and is most adequately expressed through the prevalence of SAD syndrome: Sandwich At Desk. Naturally for splendid folk such as yourselves, this will hardly be sufficient nutrition to enable you to pursue your high-powered, high-profile, high-flying jobs throughout the day; you're going to need a little top-up in the tummy department.

So without further ado, I offer you tea. Should you wish to join me, do please leave a small offering in the comments box below. I would appreciate it if you could bring your own snackage.

A cup of Earl Grey would be simply splendid. I shall furnish my own macaroons, which are for all to share.

Mark · September 30, 2003 13:57

I'm off to the States tomorrow, so will miss Friday cocktails (have a vodka martini for me). Therefore, I'll have an Earl Grey, and shall furnish a pack of squashed fly biscuits.

Having just determined that the CD part of my computer is dead, I've just poured myself a fine cup of coffee.

I hate when it takes me hours to come to conclusions like that.

A bar of chocolate followed by a bag of cheese and onion crisps (as it seems to bring the flavour of the chocolate out more) with a glass of milk or a can of diet coke sounds great to me.

I should prefer a cup of Cape Malay Rooibos Chai, and I will provide a torrent of apple and cinnamon cookies to accompany it, of course, go ahead, help yourself.

Pete! There's a pie in that hole!
Have discovered Weebl and Bob.
Smooth stuff.
:-D

Stuart · September 30, 2003 14:12

Ah, you've discovered Weebl at last! Your life will now be enriched.

Pete · September 30, 2003 14:14

Stuart · September 30, 2003 14:47

And Me Kipling cherry bakewell pie, please.

Gert · September 30, 2003 14:50

Earl Grey please, and a Twix bar on the side. A classic combination.

mike · September 30, 2003 15:01

Hmmm, I could be persuaded to have a tea, yes. It's not a normal occurrence, but I should give it a try, in order to vary my methods and levels of caffeine intake.

So yes, a tea please. Or if it's around, a beer, but tea'll be fine, rather than being awkward.

lyle · September 30, 2003 15:03

very. very. strong. coffee. please. thank you karen.

kate · September 30, 2003 15:03
