I think it’s fitness club day. I hope it is because I ran home from Pete’s office, 4.4 miles this time, despite Met Office warnings about heavy pollution. I did the local Parkrun on Saturday, and a short run on Sunday. The problem with our Parkrun here is that it’s pretty fast, so I get spurred on by the crowd, and my legs hurt more afterwards. I’m trying to increase the frequency of runs, but school holidays are coming so that will put paid to that. Maybe I will just do pilates at home instead.
What have you been up to lately? And how’s the smog where you are?
No smog.
No exercise.
Still fat.
Coincidence?
I brought myself funky pedometer (got to love a gadget) to try and encourage me to at least walk more. It’s early days but I managed to do the 10,000 steps they recommend yesterday. A start at least!
It’s been smoggy in Nottingham, but I cycled to work and ran as normal. Didn’t think much of it until I realised I could basically see my breath as I exhaled… in spite of it being well above freezing. That can’t be good, right?
(well done on you mileage, by the way. You’re flying at the moment! Well, not literally. I’m pretty sure that would be cheating….)
No smog. No exercise. Still fat. Snap!
