I’m late to this and you don’t know me, but I have a personal anecdote which makes me feel like I am contributing to the conversation, while actually adding nothing useful whatsoever.
My friend Alexandr is from Moldova, so he’s virtually Ukrainian, and if he had a beard it would almost certainly be nothing like yours.
I disagree with your claim that that anecdote added nothing useful.
