In memory of Vaughan, now on permanent hiatus

Vaughan was a member of our Uborka community all the time that it was active, and one of those people who drifted but never felt too far away, when blogging stopped being a thing. We at Uborka were sad to learn of his death.

From our archives, this seemed like a good post for him to go out on, from June 2004:

  1. Oh no. Terrible news. Godspeed Vaughan, wherever you are.

  2. Such sad news. I was thinking of Vaughn a couple of weeks ago and wondering how he was doing because his life had never been easy. Ease, rest, peace to him wherever his artist essence is.

  3. That’s sad. He came up in my thoughts recently too. One of my favourite bloggers back in the day. Always thoughtful, often funny, frequently thought-provoking.

  4. What sad news. Here’s to him weaving hilariously-spun Yeovil jokes and many more at the Great Big Blogmeet in the Sky.

  5. Ohhh sad news indeed. I have many treasured email exchanges with him. A troubled but kind hearted wit. Hope he is resting easy at last.

  6. I hadn’t seen this ’til now (hence the Tweet earlier today)

I only met him the once, but definitely a memorable character, and a real surprise/shock to hear about it.
