  3. I believe that “going to seed” is the flower equivalent of becoming a raging alcoholic. So what Graybo was asking is, are we planning on getting drunk with our flower?
    To which the answer is a resounding “Fuck yeah!”

  4. Correct me if i am wrong but I didn’t think paonies ran to seed (aren’t they perenials?).

  5. Stroppy – it will produce seed just like (almost) any other plant (see what I did there – covered my arse for pedants moaning that I’d forgotten about spore-producing ferns! See – you can’t catch me out!).
    Peonies have nice black shiny seeds which come along later in the season. You can sow and grow them, but they take between three and twenty-four months to germinate.
    Or you can just get drunk – whatever you prefer.
