Uborka Fitness Club

You’ve had a few weeks off, you’ve eaten too much and not drunk enough. You may have been daft enough to make Resolutions. Either way, it’s time to celebrate what you did do, moan about what you didn’t do, and set your goals for 2014 here on Uborka Fitness Club.

Gordon and I are racing to 250 miles (I’m winning). Does anyone want to join us?

  1. Race? I might walk it.

Over Christmas, (stop me when it’s too much information) I pooed constantly for six days. Therefor, I fini shed the Christmas break in a better place than I started. However, that’s no cause for complacency, so I’m back on the 5:2 diet. Now, all I need is for the local floods and water logging to subside and I’ll be back out there walking. The target is to cover at least 10 miles every week, preferably in one good Sunday morning ramble.

But, you know, words and deeds are two different things.

  2. I runned! Not very fast and not for very long, but I did actually put trainers on, leave the house and run.

    And it was GOOD.

File that under things I never thought I’d say #458.

Anyway. I’ve given myself a goal of 250 miles before the 31st of December and a secondary goal of being able to run 5k without walking and when I’m done with this chest infection lurgy thing that’s felling me right now, I’ll totally be back out there.

    Fuck yeah 2014!

  3. I could have sworn I left a comment here, but may have imagined it.

I need to find time to get my shoes back on again. Contemplating a 150 mile target for the year, to be reviewed mid year.
