Who else is having one of those weeks?
On Monday nobody came to open up my teaching venue, for the second week running.
On Tuesday I went to completely the wrong place to work at a breastfeeding support group.
Wednesday went comparatively smoothly, apart from being socially obligated to drink two cups of tea in the afternoon, which made me unable to sleep. At all.
This morning my teaching venue was locked again.
I could do with a holiday.
In the last 7 days…
Two days of gastroenteritis, washing machine clogged, a car accident and a boy with a fever. 7 days I would dearly love to forget.
Gah, that sounds rubbish. How are you cheering yourself up?
Work has been manic, home is chaos. Looking forward to this week being over.
Foot knackered and had to make a German WW1 soldier costume with 2 days’ notice. Men back in drilling and banging, so hot drinks every hour again. Otherwise same old same old.
Work is giving me a right beating right now; we’re moving house next week so there are a million and one things to worry about; and I’ve just heard that the school will be closed next week because of the strike.
On the plus side, our new house will be ace. We just found out the current occupiers are leaving their koi carp in the pond, and they get loads of frogs and snakes in the garden. The plum tree is heavy with fruit already, so we’ll need recipes for plummy puddings.
Snakes! *very* cool. We have newts but I covet slow worms.
My life ain’t too bad. Though I wish there were more hours in the day for play, and less for work.
